The representatives of business circles of the Hellenic Republic are planning to build a plant for juices and concentrates production in the Penza Oblast.
Ketchup and tomato sauce market in Russia in 2010 rose to 182.2 thousand tonnes, and that is a 16.5% increase compared to previous year. In 2011 the growth trend also continued is expected to reach 10% increase.
Italy: decline in production led to price drop and cost increase
Farmer prices should slow down by -3-4%
and production and bureaucrats costs in the further growth (+2-3%). However for
farmer incomes a less drastic reduction is expected compared to last year (5-7%
against 21% in 2009).
Exports are growing (+3.3% in value)
while imports are slowing down, therefore the agrifood trade deficit should
shrink considerably (-24% in volume, -10% in value).
The decline in production is primarily
due by the crops reduction (-3%). In particular, the cereal industry and the
fruit and vegetable industry (especially processing tomatoes and summer fruits)
are dropping. The overall result shouldn’t however reach the 2009 negative
levels (-2.7%).
