World leader in vegetables processing, Bonduelle plans to produce 120 thousand tons of peas, corn, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and beets by 2018. Bonduelle will focus on the domestic market and use the new facility as an export platform for Latin America and the USA. The initial goal is to dominate 10% of the domestic market and generate 5% of the overall volume production of the group. In the first phase of the investment, Bonduelle, which operates in 80 countries, will pay R$40 million to build a 15 thousand square meters complex in irrigated area of 20 thousand hectares through more than 200 center pivots. The natural advantages are the main attraction of the project in Goiás city. Bonduelle's plans - which employs 8 thousand people and has 37 factories in 18 countries - includes raising production to 70 thousand tons by 2015. The plant will be expanded to 32 thousand square meters. The second phase will be produced frozen and canned chilled vegetables. Revenue should reach R$250 million.
