Ketchup and tomato sauce market in Russia in 2010 rose to 182.2 thousand tonnes, and that is a 16.5% increase compared to previous year. In 2011 the growth trend also continued is expected to reach 10% increase.

"Trade
Commodities Company" LLC delegation became a party to the 9th
World Processing Tomato Congress, which took place in Estoril,
Portugal 20-24 June, 2010. Besides the TCC delegation, Russia was
represented by “Wimm-Bill-Dann” and “Desan”
companies. This year was record in the number of participants –
315 people from 30 countries, and our company was happy to be one
of only three delegates representing Russia.
During four days
major questions and problems of world tomato industry development
were discussed by representatives from different countries
producing and processing tomato products. Special interest was
aroused by disputes about export and import of tomato products,
and the role of China, as it has the biggest volumes of export in
the world.
